With Round 1 in the books, this is my best guess as to how Rounds 2 and 3 will shake out.

The parallel universe mock, if you will. Four QB's go in this one, with three of them being picked in slots after a trade. Big moves by the Steelers and Packers up the board.

Well, I ended up with 28 of 32 players correctly placed as 1st rounders, with 7 direct player-to-draft-slot matches and 7 direct player-to-team matches. As predicted, this year's exercise was certainly chaotic.

Well, I had a glorious first half of the mock in Round 1, getting 11 of the first 16 exactly correct. Then I only got one more after that (Harris to PIT). Anyway, here's my best guess at Day 2 results, with a lot of great value still available.

Final version with 15 minutes to go. Not going to change it, at this point, with Lance now -200 to go as the 3rd pick. Obviously, what SF does at 3 is the key to everything.

I have to make major changes to this exercise in the wake of the trades by Miami, San Francisco, and Philly, so let's get to it. Again, this is an exercise where I mock not what I think teams WILL do, but what I think they SHOULD do. Two rounds.

A different approach to this one, where I will project no trades at all. Let's see what happens.

I won't make more changes to this, even if I decide to make changes to my 1-Round Contest Mock. Here it is, my 3-Round Mock. Read it and weep!

With Round 1 in the books--and coming off a top-4 finish in the Mock Draft Contest--here's my best guess at Rounds 2 and 3. There's no way I'll be as accurate with these picks, but what the heck, let's give it a shot!

FINAL MOCK. I changed some things around in the 1st Round at the last minute, so the 2nd Round of this won't make sense. I also messed up and left in Cesar Ruiz twice, meaning to have him at 26 but not 32. Still, I was going to have Ezra Cleveland in there, so it didn't end up costing me in the mock draft contest, where it looks like I finished 4th (or maybe 3rd if the first place entry is invalid due to ID Error/Unpublished).

Let's explore a scenario where Tua slips out of the top 6, and we'll see the Raiders maneuver to pair up the Tide stars. Two full rounds.

Burrow still goes 1st, but this time I have the Chargers moving up for Tua, not the Dolphins. Let's follow along after that, as I have 6 trades in the 1st Round and 3 more in the 2nd Round.

I've done one of these mocks since I started doing them on this site in 2018. I have Miami getting VERY active early, trading up not once but twice within the first 7 picks! Let's get to it.

Let's see what would happen if the Dolphins shock the world and move up to #1. I'm also projecting 5 other trades in Round 1, because, why not, it's a mock! Round 2 is also included, and you'll see where disgruntled Washington LT Trent Williams ends up. Feel free to skewer as you wish!

Let's see what happens if the Chargers pass on Herbert at 6, shall we? What happens to Jordan Love later in the round? This is going off my first mock, where the first 5 picks are the same. Round 2 is included, and I've made several changes. Have a look.

Came up just short from finishing in the money in the Mock Draft contest again; looks like I tied for 12th, with 66 points. I matched up 8 teams with the player they took (I think Walter had 11?), and got 28 of 32 1st Round picks correct. Anyway, here's how I think Day 2 could go...

More alterations, as I've had to account for the Frank Clark trade. And yes, I resisted the urge to take DK Metcalf in the 1st Round.

It's draft day, folks! More changes.

With the reaches by a few teams after pick #20, I ended up getting 26 of the 32 1st Round picks, and matched up 7 players correctly with the teams that ended up taking them, including projecting all 3 correct teams that traded up for Allen, Rosen, and Jackson, respectively. Here's my best guess for Round 2, with a lot of talent still on the board. (I realize it says Round 1 on here, but work with me!)

Major news about Mayfield possibly going 1st! Stock up: Roquan Smith, Bryan, Landry, Ragnow, Corbett, L. Carter. Stock down: Michel, M. Hurst, Hubbard. I think we're going to see a lot of trades in general, and this mock reflects that. Two full rounds here.

I've already done a mock that's my best guess as to how the picks will actually shake out. This one is my version of what the teams SHOULD do.
